Price list (effective starting January 1, 2011)
Bildarchiv Foto Marburg, founded in 1913, has around 1.7 million negatives on art and architecture from ancient times to the present, some of which it photographed on its own and others it has purchased from archives. You can research a portion of our photographs, roughly 1 million in number, online in the “Image Index of Art and Architecture” (www.bildindex.de). You can order all digitally indexed pictures by way of this image database. You can also research and make orders from our stocks in writing or on the telephone, or by paying us a visit. A processing fee is charged for more elaborate research.
All prices are stated in euros and include statutory VAT.
We would like to ask business clients from the EU to indicate their VAT ID No. without being requested specifically to do so, to enable us to make a net calculation.

1. General information
1. 1. Special terms can be agreed for larger orders.2. A charge of € 30.00 per hour is made for image searches requiring more than the average amount of time and effort.
3. A discount of 50 % on the initial fee is granted for licensed editions and additional copies.
4. We charge a processing fee of € 6.00 for each order transaction, this includes any shipping and handling expenses.
2. Image fees
Images may only be published if they are marked "Bildarchiv Foto Marburg" and if a specimen copy is sent to us. No fee is charged for images in dissertations published and printed by the author, nor in professional journals dealing with art history or archeology. There is no charge for pictures used in online services for non-commercial purposes *.
