Association of Friends of Bildarchiv Foto Marburg e.V.
The Association of Friends of Bildarchiv Foto Marburg e.V. is a nonprofit organization which is continuing the work of Professor Hamann, as well as the Association of Friends of the Art History Department he founded, by promoting the documentation of valuable monuments and objects of cultural history past and present in order thus to help maintain them and make them available in the interest of science and scholarship.
In discharging its duties, the Association supports Bildarchiv Foto Marburg in the fulfillment of its responsibilities as a central institution for documenting art history in the Federal Republic of Germany, especially in expanding its collection of negatives and making them available for scientific and scholarly purposes, as well as to the general public.
